Podcast are a great way to get up to speed. Listen in your car or while you are working. I find it better in the car because I can really listen. Kind of distracting while working if you ask me. I just tried it and I think I will wait until i have a half hour drive accross town.

Check this out, you can get this killer bug and feature management software that integrates into visual studio, has a windows version, web version and an api. I already have worked with a company who uses this and it really helps to stay organized. For $5 for 5 users this is a steal since it is normally $495. This is not a joke, they are experimenting with social marketing. They are also donating to the red cross. Really unbelievable. Only until Feb 24, 2006. Check it out here:

Does anyone know of a way to turn off the feature in visual studio where it insists on creating stupid style tags everytime i resize a table? It is driving me crazy. I found a simple program that removes them here: http://blogs.geekdojo.net/brian/archive/2004/06/17/2248.aspx but I really would just like to turn this feature off. It is very annoying and I have gone to writing my html by hand and no longer using the design gui for anything. If anybody has a clue on how to turn this off, please comment below.

Most people don't know that "Terrestrial Radio" will die sooner than later, not because of satelite radio, but because of podcasting, car pcs, and smart phones.

I have a treo 700w and have just fallen in love with the capabilities of this phone. I know have said enough about that in an earlier post, but it really has opened my eyes to possiblities that are here today and not have to wait until tomorrow. For instance, today I was driving home from work and was caught in traffic wishing that I had already downloaded the latest DotNetRocks.com podcast. Since the new treo 700w sports a fast EVDO connection from Verizon, about 700k a sec, I figured I would go to the DotNetRocks.com and click on the streaming wma file from Pocket IE on my phone. 10 seconds later, the file had already buffered and was playing the podcast live streaming from the internet without any hickups into my car stereo tape player adapter. I was amazed. Then I started to think that there has to be 1000's of podcasts that I could also stream live to my car along with 1000's of online radio stations.

It is only a matter of time before a slick interface is put on podcasts that can stream live or download to your car as you are driving for playback later. The possiblities are really endless. Everyone will be able to pick their own personalized content based on their interests. I have not even turned on the radio in more that 2 months because of podcasts that I am more interested in and music that I have already downloaded.

My next project is to have a car pc and hook it into verizons fast network so that I can do just about anything from the road. Now the trick is to find more reasons to drive!

For those of you that cringe when you accidently click a lick that is a pdf and have to wait forever for the thing to load and then get bothered with adds to upgrade to other products, I have the ultimate solution for you. I was listening to dotnetrocks.com the other day and someone suggested this new pdf reader that is super fast. Check this out, I love this thing.

I will be doing two session in fort Lauderdale on Feb 4th, 2006 at the Code camp down there. I am very excited to learn many new things that are out there now a days. There is so much that is new and exciting that my mind is already overloaded. This will be a great time to learn from people that have real world experience and meet some cool people that also like to code late on Friday nights, like I am tonight.
